| | | | | | Workshop Wonders | This month has seen further investment into joiners shop in the form of machinery, tooling and an improved vacuum extraction system. “Led by Head Of Creations, Jeff Flitcroft, our joiners shop is central to ‘Creative Spirit’, the creative department servicing our activity, theming and conference production departments,” Team Spirit MD Ian Taylor told us. “Having this facility in-house means we can truly offer a bespoke service, responding speedily and efficiently to client needs.” Recent build jobs have included a 12ft replica Eiffel Tower, 24 mini replica Eiffel towers, a 14ft high indoor waterfall with rockpool and jungle theme, life sized jungle shacks and red ‘deal or no deal’ style boxes. | | Refreshed and Revived with MarriottMarriott in the UK is spending £120 million upgrading 38 of its four and five star hotels around the UK, including the Dalmahoy in Edinburgh, Regent’s Park in London and Worsley Park near Manchester. The London Marriott Hotel Regent’s Park will have £10 million spent on a new look for it's rooms, an upgrade of it's leisure club, lobby, restaurant and bar. The exterior of the building will also be updated. The Marriott Worsley Park Hotel & Country club has finished a £3m investment in the hotel across guest bedrooms, dedicated conference area and most public areas. This refurbishment will impart a new look and enhance the existing conference facilities which can accommodate up to 250 delegates theatre style. The Marriott Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club will have £3.3million spent on refreshed bedrooms and restaurants as part of the programme, called Nip & Tuck. The UK renovation programme, which will include the introduction of four new room designs – ‘country club’, ‘urban’, ‘international and ‘bespoke’- will take place in two phases and will be completed in 2008. | |  | |
